I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
